I teach Kindergarten, and I love my job! It is stressful, but I love going to work every day. I don't think that there are many jobs that are completely different from day to day, and come with 20 smiles and hugs every morning. I moved to Colorado Springs from Minnesota about a year ago to finish school, and decided that this was the perfect place to settle. My family is everything to me, and when I saw the chance to teach near my extended family I jumped at the opportunity. As a kid I moved about every four years from state to state (TX, AZ, MN, ND, CO), so I thought it would be nice to live in the city that has always been my second home.
Soon, I would like to complete my masters but I'm not sure in what area...educational leadership, school psychology/counseling or literature. Though I would love to hop on a plane and teach kids that are in need of a great education, I have kids right here in Colorado (coming from all over the world) that need me just as much. Obviously, education is very important to me.
I am athletic, and I love playing and watching sports (especially baseball!) I'm learning to play golf, and I'm okay so far. Let's just say I'm lucky I'm athletic. I ride my bike a lot, though I'm having a harder time around all of these hills! Snowboarding lessons are next : ). I love reading, and I usually have a hard time finding enough space for all of the books on my shelf! I love traveling and living in different places. During my free time I coach a 16u fastpitch softball team. I guess my friends and family would describe me as sweet, fun, and happy. I'm always smiling. I feel that I am on the right track in my life, and am very determined. I usually accomplish anything that I put my mind to, and I don't believe in giving up or selling yourself short. I really am uniquely "me" and I have no problem being myself.
I'm looking for a guy who knows what he wants out of his life, and shares the same values. He is sweet, loyal, and fun loving, but doesn't mind the simple luxury of just relaxing.
I just realized that writing about yourself is more difficult than it seems!
