I am a mixture of classic values and progressive thinking. I love it when people embrace their uniqueness. I believe in treating everyone with respect and stopping the ball of negativity from rolling whenever possible. I cherish being silly and always embracing the opportunity to laugh. I think that being driven to follow your bliss is admirable as it takes much courage and perseverance.
I have spent the past several years as a performance artist and an educator, and love language and poetry. I enjoy collaborating with organizations that serve vulnerable populations, and have just begun grad school for my Masters in Social Welfare. So... I am busy as heck, but we make room for things that matter, yes?
I am prone to random dance outbreaks, especially when alone in my home.
I love my family and am blessed to have grown up in such a dedicated, safe, dignified and generous household. My close friends are also family to me.
I believe in exploring the eclecticism of all things and frown on creating barriers and differences that are only imaginary. Being raised Canadian really did a lot to instill this in me. I seriously dislike cultural divisiveness.
I am definitely a foodie, but not a snob.
Yoga is my sanctuary.
--You have a great deal of kindness, wit and intelligence. You are a gentleman capable of reaching excitingly deep levels. You are slow to judge and self-confident (but not arrogant). You know yourself very well, and don't often blindly react to things. You can readily set goals and focus, but can also abandon yourself to the flow. Ideally you value family, social justice and the healing power of raucous laughter. Soul of a poet... too much..? Extra points if you call me rather than simply texting, especially at the onset. If I don't know you, I'd like to have the benefit of your live tone. Plus it takes more guts.
I am very open to a long term relationship, but would like to take it slowly as we get to know each other. I am not seeking casual encounters.
Please be totally honest (Starting with your profile, please... Otherwise it makes for an awkward first meeting). Good luck out there!
