ABOUT HIM & WHO HE'S LOOKING FOR

Hmmm...
Once upon a time there was a guy named John who thought he knew it all. He grew up in LA, had a great family, friends that "got" him and life was good. But, deep down inside of John lived a voice... a curious voice that always made him question things. What's it like living in a different country? Why should I pick one Major when I want to study them all? What makes people act the way they do? Why? Why? Why? Needless to say the voice got him into trouble... but, more often than not it forced him to learn something new. And then a strange thing happened. The guy who thought he knew it all actually realized that he knew very little. In fact, each thought lead to yet another question. So John traveled the world seeking answers and lived in 4 different countries along the way. He studied languages and peoples and reveled in taking it all in and assimilating the experiences he came across. Like two roads diverging in the woods, he had to choose one knowing he would never take the other. He met random people, did random things and fell deeply in love with adventure. When he returned to the States he felt glad to be home.... for he was away from his family and friends for many years. He thought his curiosity was satiated on the adventures it was fed... but, it was not. The curiosity remained and demanded more. He went to grad school and learned from books and mentors. He made friends with discipline and together they spent many late nights in libraries figuring assignments out. In grad school his curiosity fell deeply in love with a profession... a profession that married his random creativity with science. A profession that actually encouraged him to keep asking more questions... keeping his curiosity quite... at least most of the time. As our story comes to the present, John finds himself happy and quite confident in who he is. The only thing missing is an awesome partner not afraid of adventure, someone who wants to travel, who's equal parts extrovert and introvert, who would equally want to check out museums or veg out watching Game of Thrones, someone who takes pride in the way they look but isn't obsessed by it, and (if it's not too much to ask)... someone with a bit of curiosity ;)
