Who am I? I'm a woman who is finally comfortable in her own skin. I'm not perfect by any stretch and I'm also not comfortable if I'm not growing in some way... be it emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, etc... I'd rather be happy and alone than miserable in a relationship. So - I'm going to take some time to get to know you. Don't expect a jump both feet first.
I have learned so much about myself through my divorce and other relationships. While those events have played a part in molding me into the person I am today, I try to take only the positive with me. Even the worst things that happen in life can be made into something positive. It all depends on perspective and how you choose to see life.
Some things to help you see my personality without actually meeting me: I love, love, love to dance - primarily swing dancing. Dorky? Maybe. Fun? You bet. I work out by walking/jogging or spinning at least 4x/week. Usually 5-6x/week though. Love to cook. I try to keep it healthy though - although I can throw down with some of the best southern mommas out there. I can only do it once in a while though - I have an image to maintain ;) I used to be far more athletic. While playing paintball, I blew out my right ACL and MCL and while playing beach volleyball, I blew out my left ACL and MCL. Both are repaired, but I don't ever want to go through those surgeries again, so I'm very careful with the knees. Ideally, I'd love to own a restaurant or bakery. That's my first love - it was my mother's first love when she was alive and she passed that on to me.
I would like to be with someone who is not a total stick in the mud. LAUGH, PEOPLE!!! Sheesh. I am so amazed at how some people make it through life with such a serious attitude all the time. The only way I made it through the toughest times was to laugh through the pain - and sometimes laugh AT it.
I am a very spiritual person and I have found my "home" for things spiritual to be the Catholic Church. I'm currently going through RCIA classes and am in the process of getting my first marriage annulled. I am looking for a "good Catholic boy" as a preference. One I don't have to beg to go to Mass weekly :-)
I'm not going to blow a bunch of hot air, but please just know that I'm looking for a man who is down to earth - yet sophisticated. Someone I can have an intelligent conversation with. In short - if your hero/role model is Larry the Cable guy - he's funny... but he is in NO way a man I have any interest in dating.
I look forward to talking with you soon! :-)
