I'm looking for someone who's a good communicator, is genuine, intelligent, open minded, ambitious, appreciates the value of good conversation, and is willing to go with the flow and take the time to get to know each other. I tend to value and appreciate people for who they are instead of only focusing on appearances or materialistic possessions. I could care less about those sorts of things. When all is said and done, who you are as a person will stand out over anything else i the long run.
I've been described by family and friends as being an honest, genuine, ambitious, creative, passionate, and expressive guy. I believe in living life with a "tell it like it is" philosophy. I’m not one to freak out, get jealous, or make a big deal about trivial things. I pride myself on living a drama free life and tend to be good about not getting caught up in much unnecessary craziness. I’m more than willing and able to admit when I’m wrong and definitely don’t expect to get my way all the time.
My family is by far the most important aspect of my life. I come from a large family and have three younger sisters. I have an insatiable desire for learning, creativity, and challenge myself. I'd like to do much more traveling than what I've been able to do in recent years. I think we all need to periodically stop, disconnect from technology, and enjoy the people and things in life we often take for granted. I have a great appreciation for sarcasm but am aware as to when there’s a time and place for it. My sarcasm gets me through a lot of life's every day challenges!
I’m fortunate enough to have a job that I truly enjoy. I do multimedia production work for one of the museums in town where I create videos and other multimedia elements for educational, exhibit, marketing, and promotional purposes. Over year years I've worked for tv stations, production companies, universities, and now a museum. I'm always looking to improve and push myself and my knowledge when it comes to my career and expressing myself.
Music is very important to me. It reminds me of some of the best moments I've had in life and has also helped me get through the rough times as well. Depending on my mood at the time, my favorite music includes Mumford and Sons, Dawes, The Apache Relay, The Black Keys, Smashing Pumpkins, The Civil Wars, Volbeat, Radiohead, The Punch Brothers, A.A. Bondy, The Head and the Heart, Black Sabbath, Guns N' Roses, Johnny Cash, Black Mountain, Tool, Pink Floyd, Sister Machine Gun, The Sword, Queens of the Stone Age, Beatles, AC/DC, and Sigur Ros. I'm always open to checking out live music and being introduced to bands and music that I may not have previously been familiar with.
Just a little clarification on the issue of kids... I have absolutely no problem with dating someone who has kids. I've done it in the past and it's never been a negative issue. You can tell quite a bit about one's demeanor and values by how they treat their kids. Obviously there are additional responsibilities and demands for free time that come along with having kids that I'm perfectly aware and accepting of. As far as having kids of my own, it's something that I'm definitely open to but if it doesn't happen, it's not a deal breaker by any means.
That's the basics for now but if you have any questions or feel the need to call me out on anything I've said, don't be afraid to speak up and ask away. I don't have an all or nothing attitude about this online dating stuff. I'm just as open to making friends as a result of being on here as I am with something more serious developing. No games, no misrepresentations, no crazy, overwhelming expectations. Thanks for checking out my profile and good luck to you!
