About me:
I help people’s dreams come true. With just a flick of my magic wand, I bring wealth, opportunity and success to anyone who wants it. Almost. Actually I’m an English teacher. I help foreign students raise their language levels high enough to attend an American university. So mostly I just tell them to say “like, OMG!” after every other word. It is nice to feel that I’m opening a path for people but I have to admit that my motives are a bit more selfish. Being an English teacher means that I can work anywhere in the world. In effect, I get paid to travel and talk to interesting people. It’s a fun gig. But I’m back now and when I’m not conjugating verbs and explaining diphthongs, I’m likely to be biking around town, chatting in a bar or taking a salsa class. (I’m a pretty mean dancer and only occasionally step on my partner’s toes.) Altogether then, I guess you could say that I’m outgoing, practical, upbeat and quick on my feet.
What I’m doing with my life:
Traveling mostly. The teaching supports it and gives me a pretty neat schedule. I like it.
I’m really good at:
Discovering the best spot on a Southeast Asian beach, finding excuses not to go to the gym, operating the gears on my bike, talking to people, helping people to talk better, and dreaming. I’m very good at that.
