Hi, my name is Mike and you probably should not contact me. I am often criticized for never taking anything seriously including this. The surgeon general has released remarks condemning my lifestyle as out of sync with contemporary societal values = I'm awesome. I can be your best friend, and we can be down like two flat tires, or we can pretend to be space cadets merely along for the ride. Either way I'm here. Although I am a graduate student, many of my friends would succeed in scaring you away with their description of my life as something out of National Geographic. That said - I am a traveler, an old soul, hopeless romantic, and Hunter S. Thompson, Jack Kerouac, and Ernest Hemingway all rolled into one. As a matter of fact you probably should not write to me because I am an unstable electron in a sea of covalent bonds. A particle blasting through sub-atomic energy fields. I like to stay out with my friends drinking and occasionally smoking, working on my masters degree, trekking the planet like Indiana Jones, and conversing about dark matter and worm holes (although I don’t always understand them.) My last relationship ended about a year ago and my friends recommended that I try Match.com. So... here I am. I do not go to clubs and bars to meet women because unfortunately I do not have (“In the parlance of our times" *Big Lebowski*) any ‘Swag’ nor would I want to date a woman who at any point would use the word swag as dating criteria. I am much more comfortable meeting a woman at a diner, a library, walking a dog, hell... making funny faces out of our car windows at each other. With that, I am very committed to my friendships and relationships and would do anything for them, but I am not in the market of keeping a large number of loose friends as much as I am into making long lasting relations with a smaller number of people, thus making them more special.
I hope to meet someone intelligent, caring, ridiculous, crazy, engaging, lovely, elegant, wild, and girly. I have travelled 13 countries now, and am nowhere near finished, so it would be great if you like to travel! I would like to find a girl who is not afraid to be silly around me, feels comfortable in her own skin, enjoys adventure, and can also spend an evening enjoying a bottle of wine and a movie, snowboarding the mountain, or reading, painting, or listening to music. I am a bit of a writer and have always been compelled by art, so I find a creative side on a woman to be absolutely sensual and intriguing. I am also constantly searching for new music from classic rock to dub-step. I'd say my favorite bands as of recent are The Sleeping, Murder by Death, Red Fang, and Builders and Butchers. I have a great sense of humor and love making people laugh, but its not always through jokes as much as it is wit and a goofy personality, and as far as laughter is concerned I have a taste for very dry witty humor and sarcasm - think Wes Anderson films. All around I am looking for the woman who I am able to do things with, and for, but is educated, and independent.
