Time to take the plunge. Here goes…
I’m a transplant to Chicago. A California lad at heart, I went to college in New England and would never have guessed I’d end up a proud resident of the Midwest. Grad school brought me here (go wildcats) but the great people, audacious restaurants and ketchup-free hot dogs have kept me. I actually like the El (beats the 405!), love the beach volleyball and look forward to a decent snowstorm.
An ideal weekend includes a bit of cross country skiing, canoeing, running, backpacking or surfing. Playing Catchphrase with friends and cheap beer in a cozy cabin or sailing on a Great Lake. Charity galas, Bears games, Cubs games or draining craft brews just about anywhere. The thought of watching a movie inside on a crisp sunny afternoon hurts.
I’d be stoked to find a girl who is ambitious, witty, outgoing and graced with a clever sense of humor. Someone who has studied (or lived!) abroad and who doesn’t mind venturing way outside her comfort zone.
My sports trivia and taste in music are abysmal... here's to hoping you can fill out that category. I'll trade initiative and legit slinky skills. Great friendships and time with curious little nephews and nieces are what make me grin
