Just like most of you, I never thought I would try online dating. But while it’s great meeting someone in a spontaneous and romantic way, a busy lifestyle can make that difficult. And of course, at a certain age the bar scene becomes somewhat unappealing. Anyway, a little about me: I’m a very laidback person who tries to enjoy life at all times. That being said, I also care a lot about my career and I’ve worked very hard to get where I am today. However, I have never have nor intend to ever let my job run my life. I spend most of my free time staying active. Running is one of my biggest passions. I make time for a run pretty much every day; of course I have to, because I equally enjoy eating and drinking. I love exploring new restaurants, cooking new meals or old favorites, and washing it down with the perfect wine or a good beer. I also love to travel, and I’m always in search of the next adventure. I’ll always be a Midwest guy at heart, but since high school I’ve lived in and traveled to quite a few places. France is definitely my favorite country outside of the US; I lived there for a semester during college and law school, and I’ve always envisioned myself living there again, but I’d be happy with a few more visits. However, as much as I love the cafes of Paris, I would just as readily spend a vacation backpacking through the mountains. My ideal woman would also be comfortable in both the city and in the mountains. She would also enjoy a similarly active lifestyle.
