I make friends and keep them. I'm close to my children I love children (teach second grade and I'm a child development specialist). I love animals and have several. I'm freakishly well read. I was raised in NYC by show biz folk. I enjoy all kinds of music- the playlists on my iPod would tell you a lot about me. I walk- a lot. I swim- a lot. I don't enjoy the formal gym workout. I love the beach and try to go at least once a week.
I love museums and planetariums. I like to learn a new place by walking its streets, especially in the early morning. I love to cook, but am looking for a chance to be creative in the kitchen again. Baking is therapy for me- and I love how banana bread and cookies make the house smell. I like to grow tomatoes and basil. Going to Berkley Bowl, gathering up fresh ingredients to make a yummy supper to eat on the back deck is one of the best things about summer. I am known for my 'lets get in the car and go' spontaneous road trips and have raised intrepid, curious travelers to adulthood.
I'm looking for someone who enjoys some of the same things I do, but can teach me about the things they love- I am a very good student.
