Little history / basics on school / work... graduated ASU biomedical engineering, business minor, working for Atlantic Records while in school. I took a leap of entrepreneurial faith following, successfully operating my own label and production co. for a few years afterward. We released our first and only artist to Def Jam and produced for Zomba / Chris Brown, Capitol / Letoya, and earned a Gold record with Interscope / Keri Hilson. Yes, I love music, likely more than anyone you know! Passion doesn't quite pay like it used to, and I was accepted into law school with scholarship, but instead I decided to accept an offer from a reputable investment bank to resume being an entrepreneur as a financial advisor. You plan and plan, but life does what it wants to anyway, right? I live in an awesome tower and I walk to work... life's pretty sweet at the moment.
I grew up living in a number of different cities and states in America; born in Ohio, L.A., Phoenix, Dallas, Illinois to name a few. My parents and sister currently live in Alabama. Needless to say, I've seen the entire socioeconomic - cultural spectrum. I know, and truly love, people; I talk to strangers, I donate, sometimes to the point of excess, and I help others, almost to the point of self-harm. It's just part of who I am.
I am contagiously ambitious, passionate, bold, creative, and striving for high achievement in life. I don't much believe in "limits", outside those of physics I spent too much time studying in undergrad. I live to learn new things, love to tackle challenges, and avoid negative people. I am spiritual. I read non-fiction and watch a lot of documentaries. Music is a crucial part of my being, arguably the crux of my life. I play guitar, write (think I get it from my lineage... a quite astute and well-known philosopher is my 8th Great Grandfather... who, you say?! Gotta find out!), and attended NYU audio engineering school, so I produce a lot on my own. I was also an all-state strong safety back in high school, so I am committed to my Chicago Bears and Texas Longhorns each weekend Sept. - December. My old athletic habits keep me in the gym. I LOVE stand-up comedy... we absolutely must be able to share ridiculous amounts of laughter! Any Bill Burr fans?! I love food, sushi and Italian! I thoroughly enjoy landscaping and manual labor. I possess a passion for politics and free trade! I drink scotch in moderation. More on me over coffee or during a rooftop swim and cocktail.
I am looking for a simple, honest, intellectual girl, one who rocks crazy style, charisma, and zest for life, but who also feels comfortable among diversity. One with old school values, who is smart and mature, and is looking for a teammate capable of wrangling life and all it has to offer, and, sometimes, take. Absolutely no games (or typos... huge pet peeve). You can't build a relationship on guessing and chases, and frankly, people who don't respect others' time, emotions, and efforts, turn me off. Romantic and adventurous, conservative yet sophisticated. Classy. Let's just be real and have a great time together. If things get serious, let's still be real and achieve a life of abundance.
Older friends and associates say I'm "the guy that every young woman's Dad wants her to settle down with". Maybe because I'm old school? Most guys in our generation are weak, shallow, and outright boring? Not sure. What I do know is I'm building my life, a lot like our parents and grandparents did, so if you're looking for the trust fund, loud, flashy, "turn-key relationship" type, please don't waste your time. But do remember - "The loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room." - DW, 'American Gangster'
(oh and I'm not a "pretty-boy"... one girl actually noted that lol)
