I was born and raised in upstate New York, moved to California in the summer of 2002. The warm sunny days and beautiful sandy beaches of Southern Orange County made the transition from one coast the next very easy, but I do miss the seasons from NY, especially the fall and winteR. Christmas is just not the same with out snow.
Growing up in upstate NY gave me the opportunity to spend a lot of time in the Adirondack Mountains with family and friends hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, riding dirt bikes, four wheeling, and snowmobiling. Since my move here to California I have picked up scuba diving, freediving, spearfishing and snowboarding, which has made trips to Hawaii, Mammoth, and Tahoe unbelievable.
I am a very motivated person who knows what they want out of life, I am straight up and to the point type person, that will tell you how it is, which over the years has gotten me into trouBle a few times. I can not stand liars and fake people.
Family is very important to me. I am very fortunate and thankful to have been blessed with such amazing parents. They are two of the best teachers and role models I could ever have in my life. They have instilled great family values, morals, ethics, and the conviction to stick by these core values even during times of adversity and misfortune.
I am a very kind and generous person when it comes to my family, friends, and the individual that I am in a relationship with. I firmly believe that you treat people how you want to be treated. I?ve always worn my heart on my sleeve and would give the shirt off my back, its all about paying it forward. I always try to see the best in every situation and in everyone, but do not be mistaken by my generosity nor the wearing of my heart on my sleeve mentality; I will never make some one a priority in my life when they only see me as an option in theirs.
I am not afraid of making mistakes or even failing at something that I am passionate about. I define a person's character not by how many times they get knock down, but how many times they pick their self back up no matter how much adversity you are faced with. To me it's all about how much heart you have.
I'm somewhat old fashion in certain ways, I still have and show respect to my elders and still use the words sir, ma'am, thank you, and please. I still firmly believe that when you give someone your word, you follow through threw with it. To me is says a lot about an individual and how much lack of respect they have for other people, when they can not stick by their word.
I firmly believe the key component for a relationship to not only be successful, but last though the years is having the ability to communicate with each other about their concerns and problems, never shutting the other person out. Each person is always putting 100% of them selves into the relationship. They are both willing to make sacrifices for each other, but at the same time never going against their beliefs or their core values. Giving each other nothing but the outmost respect and common curtsey at all times. Attraction is very important, but I want more then just the physical looks. I want to have a connection on an intellectual level. To have the ability to carry a conversation with long after the looks have faded. The last thing that I want is to be that older couple you see out at dinner and the entire time they do not say one word to each other.
I am looking for a person that shares the same ambitions, passion, and love for life and the outdoors, along with all of the adventures that comes with it. She is one who never gives up on her aspirations and her dreams, isn't afraid to get a little dirt under her finger nails and has the willingness and openness to learn and try new things. Someone who is confident and comfortable in her own skin, she takes great pride and respect in how she carries her self. Can handle a challenge and keep up.
