I'm a Maine girl at heart but having lived in the D.C. area for the past 6 plus years it has really become home. I just moved to Springfield after buying a condo and am slowly getting used to life in the suburbs after city living but I'm enjoying it so far. Most of my family still lives in Maine though, so I try to get up there for visits as much as my schedule allows.
My family and friends are very important to me, I'm lucky to have a group of very close friends that are more like family than friends. I have two adorable nieces. Unfortunately, they live in Florida so I don't get to see them as much as I'd like though.
I'm pretty dedicated to my job and enjoy what I do, thinking of going back for my master's in the near future just have to figure out what it will be in. My job allows me to travel some, which I really enjoy. I've been able to see a lot of the US that I never would have. I also really enjoy travelling in my spare time. I recently went to Paris and Italy and absolutely loved it. Can't wait to plan my next overseas trip.
Baseball is my sport of choice and I've been a Red Sox fan since I was little, I try to go to Nationals and Orioles games when I can though. Since moving to Virginia I've become a pretty big country fan which I never thought would happen. Lately though it has become my music of choice and I love a good country concert in the summer.
I'm pretty happy with my life and am ready to hopefully meet someone and start that next chapter. I'm not sure how this site will all workout but I figure it's worth a try and maybe at the very least I'll meet some new people.
