I moved to Greensboro a few years ago. WV will always be home, but I'm really happy here too. I "bleed green" and still make it back to tailgate for football games and most of my family is still there. Football season and Fall in general is way to short. There is also nothing better than making a weekend trip up to the New River Gorge for some whitewater rafting. Day and weekend trips are the best and this is a great area for that. Asheville has become my favorite place to explore. I love all the local festivals and things off the beaten path to do. Beer and wine festivals are a must do. I'm also a big fan of the NC coast and love the town of Southport. In Greensboro I like the downtown Farmers Market, the Elam/Walker Ave resturants, the Carolina Theatre when they play old movies (Stand By Me is coming up and it's one of my all time favorites), The Triad Stage, Guilford Courthouse Park, and Earthfare. I also really like hitting up Bestway on Friday nights for their free wine tasting...not to mention they have the best beer selection in town. I've really become a fan of downtown Winston too. A good patio and a good beer special is key :) I also enjoy the Guilford College Bryan Series and volunteer at each event. I love St Patrick's Day. Some of my all time favorite shows have been Friday Night Lights, Wonder Years, Cheers, Sienfeld, and currently Modern Family. Could easily be an Avett Brothers groupie. Otis Redding is an all time favorite. If I catch one minute of Lonesome Dove, I'm in for the rest of it. And if I just see the last ten minutes of Hoosiers or Rudy, I cry like a baby. Love seeing A Christmas Story at the theatre during the season. I'm a sucker for good 80s movies, roller coasters, and KY bourbon. I went to Australia and New Zealand years ago and would love to go back, especially to New Zealand. My claim to fame is being within the second group of Americans to go Zorbing in New Zealand after the Real World cast. Top of the bucket list is an Alaskan cruise and a trip to England and Ireland. I read a lot of historical fiction and really want to do a tour of Tudor England. I take pride in my "cool aunt" status and enjoy spending a lot of time with my niece and nephew. I have a really fun family and sometimes the perfect end to a week is going over and having a beer outside with my Dad. His ipod is probably cooler than mine Looking for someone funny, attractive, educated, and that is always up for learning something new.
