There are 5 “things” I openly admit that I can’t, or at least would hate to, live without: tea (w/ milk), my 24 year-old stuffed puffalump (umm, no longer stuffed), my pashmina wool blanket from Jaipur (warm, yet cool, at the SAME time), my hair straightener (ya, I said it), and Vaseline jelly (so versatile and the best chap stick ever), oh ok, I guess 6 things because anything chocolate is clearly my other half. Even though I’m a city girl, the beach is my world. Any water..ocean, waterfall, creek, pool, fountain, even my shower (I’m notorious amongst my family for lingering in the shower), never fails in giving me happiness, an escape, or a thinking spot. My loyalty is deeply embedded within my family and friends..I’d do anything for them, especially my parents. I’m super sensitive, but equally strong. Being a kid at heart, I NEVER underestimate the simple pleasures in life: chocolate (ya, I said it again), scented candles, dosa, reruns, organizing, freshly vacuumed carpet, tingling shampoos/conditioners, books, affection, redecorating, affection again, a hot cup of tea/hot chocolate, movies, pinterest, thai food, stargazing, crafts, fashion, baking(and of course, eating!), comfy pjs.. Like most peops, I’m always striving to be a better person. Cooking is my latest endeavor w/ both mummy and the internet as my teachers, recently broke my terrible nail-biting habit (it’s like I’m part of a new nail painting club or something), started acoustic guitar lessons (no one tells you how hard it is, nonetheless, so fun), added yoga to my work-out routine (I envy flexibility), and I never stop feeding my brain..I’m in medicine, what do you expect?..not to mention my irrational fear of Alzheimer’s. I find cleaning and making colored lists oddly therapeutic, enjoy annual ski-trips, don't kill bugs(but I loathe mosquitos), hate cigarette smoke, and only buy jewelry that I can’t make myself. Overall, I consciously strive to maximize compassion, patience, humility, reliability, and resiliency, and I value the same in anyone else. With growing up in Cleveland, living in Chicago and Grand Cayman Island, now working as a resident in Pittsburgh, and also traveling any chance I get, I’ve been blessed w/ incredible experiences in my first 30 baby yrs of life. I guess I’m just looking to share the experiences yet to come w/ someone that “gets me”, someone as passionate about me as I am about him, someone to be on my taboo team (I never lose)…someone to explore my list of countries (and obviously, their restaurants), to join our quirky family X-mas, to uncontrollably laugh, to cuddle up to movies, to raise a loving family, and to dance with...
