I love Jesus. I go to church at least twice a week, study Scripture daily, and love going on missions trips (I'm getting ready to do construction in El Salvador for a week in early October). I believe in having a relationship with Christ. It's all about Him, as it should be. I can't stand self-righteousness though. I am a sinner who is desperately in need of a Savior, and I am so grateful to God for all He has blessed me with. I have been serving at a homeless shelter for almost 3 years and I also regularly serve in the children's ministry at church (4th and 5th grade). I have a heart for Africans and have been to Africa three times. I'd love to make it a yearly trip.
I've been to 17 countries on all 6 inhabited continents. I swam with crocodiles in Australia, visited castles in Germany and Austria, saw the pyramids in Egypt, helped orphans in Mexico, ministered at an IDP camp in Kenya, and trained teachers in South Africa. I have also completed two tours in Iraq as a U.S. Marine.
I'm not really into cars or sports, although I enjoy going to professional ballgames once in a while. I am trained as a teacher and am definitely a "people person". I especially love volunteer work and am a huge fan of kiva.org.
Interested females must also love Jesus (no exceptions) and want to honor Him with everything. Excellent knowledge of the Bible is a plus. Physically, I desire a girl-next-door type of woman - modest dress and little or no makeup. She must be height to weight proportionate and enjoy taking time to "stop and smell the roses". Also, she must be intelligent (loving grammar is a big turn-on) and preferably educated or pursuing a college degree.
