Thought I'm originally from the Midwest, I've been down in Houston now for a total of six years...with a few years interruption spent working/in grad school on the East Coast. I've met some great people on here in previous cities - even in Houston before! - , but no one just right....yet ;) I am guilty of keeping myself busy beyond necessity and need someone to knock that compulsive need to be working out of me. Aside from work, staying in shape and eating healthy are really important to me. Nothing beats an early morning workout with Shaun T and Insanity!! I love feeling good about what I eat, but I also love food, so I'll be the first in line to try out a new restaurant or cuisine. All in moderation :)
I love meeting new people and going on random adventures, although I am a homebody by nature. Often the most memorable evenings are the ones that are not planned. Dinner out is a nice standby, but it's fun to be able to explore other sides of people. How about a game of tennis? A trip to the farmer's market to find new things to cook? Watching a jazz band downtown? Having a Saturday football marathon at a sports bar? Heading into a cabin in the woods for the weekend? I love to be active and around other people although it does take me awhile to feel comfortable sharing lots about myself. I've yet to find someone special enough to make me WANT to leave work and come home. Are you able to have fun AND engage in an intelligent conversation? Sign me up!
I hate to have negatives in this intro, but there are certain things I have difficulty tolerating when looking for a relationship. If you don't agree with me below, we're probably going to have a tough time together :)
1. Misuse of grammar drives me crazy. Typing in ALL CAPS or using "U" as a noun = not cool.
2. I love food, and I love working out to stay healthy. I expect my ideal match to be the same.
3. If you aren't an avid sports watcher or open to the idea of spending a Saturday watching football, we probably won't mesh.
4. A constant desire to learn about the world, about your profession, etc. I expect my ideal match to be passionate!
