So I'm not sure how to write this in a "50 character minimum" box.. I moved to Philly from Israel two years ago from Israel for business school, and stayed for my job. I actually really like it here, its no TelAviv, but hey, nobody's perfect. I grew up moving between Israel and the US every few years, so I guess there's a little bit of me from both countries. I spent five years in the military, but would wake up in the middle of the night every Sunday in the fall to watch NFL games (of course no one even understood what I was watching...), I love the TLV bar scene, but feel totally at home at the Irish Bar or at Rosie's (maybe too much at home..), I have so much of the informal, spontaneous and rude Israeliness in me, but spend most of my days here with my very corporate American clients (trying my hardest not to call a CEO "bro" ). So a lot of my life has been about learning how to combine these opposite parts of me in these two different cultures. And I think that's also the type of people that I usually like the most - people that have "opposites" in them. That like arguing about philosophy or behavioral economics, but then getting hammered and climb on the bar until theyre chased out by the bartender (not that that's happened..), or that go on a 10 K race early morning on Saturday, but spend all of Sunday watching Family Guy on TV, or that love doing Friday night dinners for two, but are also completely fine spending it with the fam, or... you get the point : ).
To be honest, I've never really done this so don't really know what to expect. But I'm also just kind of tired of dating the girls I meet at bars, so we'll see what happens : )
