UPDATE AS OF 3.30.13
I'm secure and happy with myself, and as corny as it sounds, I feel that life is truly meant for two. I would love to find a great guy who can make me laugh. I feel it's really wonderful to care so much for a person that just the thought of them makes you smile even when they're not around. I'm passionate about things close to my heart whether it's my faith (yes gentlemen I'm a Christian), my family (four-legged ones included), my friends and that special person that lights me up inside. The only time I really prefer to live in the past is when learning from a mistake. I'm a pretty, simple old-fashioned gal who still believes a man should 'court' a woman (way to go dad for teaching me how a woman should be treated). You will still see me smiling and having fun even during something as trivial as trying to dodge the rain to get to my car.
Somewhere out there is a great guy who will not only want to introduce me to new things but will also like to try some adventures that are new to both of us. I am looking for a guy who can keep me on my toes both when it comes to intellect and energy. There is nothing that I won't do to support the people I care about. I also believe in chivalry (some people call me silly for that) and want to feel safe and warm in my man's arms. My job is great but I know when I come home that is where my priorities and true happiness lie. I want to share both our passions, some of mine, some of yours and some new ones we find together. I can offer a lifetime of devotion and loyalty, as well as a chick who loves to cook in addition to a shoulder to lean on through the good, bad and yes even the ugly.
I am not offended by a dirty joke (well that probably depends on how bad it is) and can dish out a few of my own. I am independent but far from being a feminist. Sarcasm is a spice of life so bring it on.
I'm always looking forward to the future and finding the good and fun parts of it. I know my shortcomings and know how to admit to them when I'm wrong. I prefer character to being cute, kittens to goats, and listening to music instead of playing it (because I have zero talent in that area but would love to learn. Any good music teachers out there???).
I was supposed to finish my first marathon in Virginia Beach this month called the Shamrock Marathon (yes it's because I'm mostly Irish) but a knee problem kept me on the sidelines. But, no worries, as I'm already planning for next year's run. I love to swim, bike and run. I accomplished my first triathlon and it was a lot of fun! I'm always up for any kind of adventure so just taking off in the car and going exploring is a blast. Unfortunately, I am an awful navigator so thank goodness for my GPS system!
I'm actually a woman that thinks sports are not just for watching. I like to experience them as well. I love being affectionate, have a big romantic side and I appreciate fun and funny people.
Bottom line: No pressure...let's be friends and see what the future holds.
