Someone recently asked if I had a million dollars and didn’t have to work, what would I do? I didn’t really have an answer chambered. I didn't particularly like how my non-answer sounded, but i dont have one answer. I would do a little of everything. I would ski / snowboard, I’d do yoga, I’d play golf, I’d play cards, I’d surf, , I'd climb mountains (or at least some smaller rocks), I'd read a lot, I’d travel (Peru first, then Alaska, then all over). I’m into sports and outdoor stuff. I’m into reading and other nerd stuff. I’m into politics. I’d probably try to do some amateur journalism. Uncover something wrong in the world then figure out how to fix it. I’d probably try to run for Congress or City Council. I also like doing nothing. Talking about anything. I need my mind and body to be stimulated – (not always at the same time necessarily) My friends call me a human swiss army knife, because it doesn’t matter the activity I’m somehow always randomly the most prepared.
I’m originally from the Midwest, back there we didn’t lock our doors. You could just trust people to do the right thing. I miss that a little here but when I find people like that I try to keep them around. My old roommate said I was the most morally upstanding individual on the planet because I actually paid for music on iTunes. Whatever. Sure, being too nice sucks - but its like a terminal disease, you cant just get rid of it.
I Guess for now i'm just trying to get that million dollars, and doing as much of the rest of that stuff as I can fit in.
I’d like to find someone who also has a lot of range. Open – minded, down for anything, smart (its ok if you’re an airhead at times I am too, but just someone who’s generally pretty sharp) funny - or at least gets my jokes : ), and has a good heart.
