I love going out with my friends and staying out late but am just as happy curled up in my comfy bed with lots of pillows reading a book with a great glass of wine (red please, I don't like white). I thoroughly enjoy going to baseball games but could use some assistance in the sport part of it because my focus usually gravitates towards beer and hot dogs! I enjoy exploring all of the amazing things that NYC has to offer and would love to find a partner in crime for those adventures. Introduce me to your favorite places (whether it’s a fancy restaurant, the theater, or a dive…I’m in!) and I’ll show you mine.
I tend to make up words to describe things. I don't like talking on the phone because I'd rather see you in person. I love going out for dinner. I love to cook but hate cleaning up. My favorite color is orange. I find confidence to be extremely sexy. I love the finer things in life but would never describe myself as high maintenance. I value my friends and family most in my life. My friends include only those people who are real and true to themselves. They don't take things seriously all the time. I used to read books all of the time but somehow my book club days ended and were replaced with work, emails and magazines. I still read an amazing novel at least a few times a month but summertime is my time to regroup and read voraciously. Once September hits most of my reading consists of students’ papers, homework, and apology notes for bad behavior! I should probably mention my twin sister Lauren since we are basically attached at the hip. I'm the squeaky and shyer half of the pair...
My favorite places include: NYC (the greatest city ever), the bottom of the Grand Canyon (preferably sleeping under the stars), the Costa Rican rain forests (encouraging my mom to conquer her fear of heights by zip lining above the trees), accidently taking a wrong turn and driving to the Egyptian border when I was supposed to be headed to Eilat, my Mom’s kitchen table (she taught me all I know about making delicious food), School (To have two Master’s degrees AND work in education you have to love it!), Fire Island (who doesn’t love a place that you don’t wear heels and there are no cars), any Beach (Turks & Caicos, Cabo, Lido Beach on Long Island, Cape Cod, Puerto Rico) Oh the list goes on…
