I'm a romantic and I believe in Love. I love to laugh, socialize, try new things, and travel. I'm very ambitious. I am currently training myself to become a runner. My short term goal is to run the Brooklyn half marathon next May. My long turn goal is to run the NYC marathon. I also have a very exotic hobby that I will share later. ;) I can pretty much go after anything I want, including an amazing guy. I'm not afraid to make the first move.
I recently changed my career and that was the best change I could have ever made. I am now in love with what I do. I get to spend all morning reading great books with 6 year olds and modeling how to find the author's lesson. I spend all afternoon showing them how to read bar graphs or create story problems with a missing addend. At the end of most days I'm rewarded with a colorful drawing or a sweet note, granted it came after the temper tantrums. I went from helping corporate attorneys accumulate wealth to building confidence; to teaching how to make an inference; to teaching double digit-addition; and to watching eyes light up when our butterfly finally comes out of its chrysalis. My career is in a good place. I only want the same (or more :) in an amazing relationship.
The following lyrics, from Rascal Flatts, best describe my current relationship state of mind...
"I set out on a narrow way many years ago, hoping I would find true love along the broken road. But I got lost a time or two; wiped my brow and kept pushing through. I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you." The you in these lyrics refer to a man who is a man of his word, reliable, ambitious, FUNNY!, God fearing, hard working, affectionate, kind-hearted, all around an amazing guy and perfect for me. Like I mentioned before I am a romantic but I'm not simply in love with love.
