I work hard, but love to have fun. Moved to Miami not too long ago and enjoy meeting new people and learning new things. Right now, I'm just trying to figure out what this whole match.com thing is about!!
I've only been a member for 1 day, but I'm gonna go ahead and throw this out there...If your pictures include a phone shot (you know, one you took of yourself in a mirror), I'm not into it.
Second day as a member and I've learned the following: an astounding number of men are unaware that "alot" is 2 words.
Day 3: I will NEVER be able to respond to all of the emails/winks, but thanks for the love and for keeping me entertained.
And today (day number 4) I continue to be amazed at the amount of variation within the "athletic and toned" group.
Day 5 /6: Please do not be offended if I don't respond to your email. I really only have time to respond to the ones that I feel the profile is a strong match for me. Sorry in advance! Also, I don't respond to the winks at all, but thank you!
After one week, I have a special message for you gentlemen who are of an age similar to that of my dad or grandfathers: You should be ashamed of yourselves!!! Come on guys, really??
So I log on today (Day 8!) and get a message from match saying, "We notice that you are getting a lot of emails from people who don't meet the criteria on your profile." Uh...ya think? I thought the point of this thing was to match you - not to be a free for all!
So I think today makes day 10?? Here's what kills me - how can people look so drastically different from picture to picture? I'm sure that my pictures are confusing too (dark hair, red hair, dog), but some of you guys look totally different in each picture. What do you REALLY look like?
Week 2! You guys are killing me with all of your questions so I guess I should answer some. I'm from NC (the better of the two Carolinas). Yes, I drink sweet tea and yes, I have an accent. I like to say "y'all" and listen to country music. My dog is named Chance and he's an American Bulldog. He'll be 11 in Feb. and he's my favorite thing. I'm an animal lover. I'm a believer that at the core we're all human and all deserve the same rights. I try not to be judgmental, but I despise ignorance. Education is important to me so if you could give a rat's behind whether your partner graduated college, then I'm not interested. I've been in school for too many years for someone to not appreciate it. :)
So I'm getting "a lot" of emails asking about week 3. I would update ya, but it's still week 2. Gonna go ahead and let you all know that I have yet to meet anyone in person from this site. I hate dating in the first place and this is super sketchy. Your pictures are confusing, your spelling frankly scares me, and how do I know that you're not some grandpa trying to have a good time? Blah.
Enough about me, I'd love to hear about your experiences on this site. Do you have any funny stories? How do you handle the rude people? I'd love to hear about it!
I think I'm done with this. It's too much work. :) Thank you for all for all of the emails - even the mean ones. Good luck to everyone!
