I just moved back to Los Angeles after three years in Austin, Texas and am looking to skip the bar scene in favor of a little more substance. I’m a straightforward person, and believe that if you can’t be 100% honest with someone then you need to reevaluate your relationship with them. I find myself attracted to women who are driven and successful, but also laidback when they’re not in the office. Someone with a good head on their shoulders but isn’t arrogant. I have a pretty sharp sense of a humor, so if you can’t take a good-natured joke we probably aren’t going to click. I like to cook, and it'd be nice if I could find someone who also enjoys it (but definitely not a requirement). For me, cooking/wine/movie is the ideal date night. I’m a bit of a movie snob, but am willing to watch pretty much anything. I have a special place in my heart for the Hollywood Cemetery screenings. Random tidbits? I like to dance, even though I’m horrible at it. After ~3 drinks I think I really hit my stride. I’ve played hockey my entire life, and still do…though my skills have regressed. I’m pretty against the oxford comma, both as a function of grammar and a literary tool, and my line of work makes me a little OCD about double spacing after a period. I would love to exchange a couple of emails with someone before meeting up for drinks/grub and taking it from there. I prefer face-to-face conversation over internet banter.
