Ahhhhh, yes, Match, the "Godiva" candy store for the ego...lol. Okay, let's do this (cracking knuckles, sighing, ahem):
Me? Known far and wide for having a “quirky” since of humor, and a laugh that feels like a pressure wave caused by a low flying jet fighter. Bookish types tend to be drawn to me because of my vast treasure trove of off-the-wall, some might say “random”, facts. My love of training and fitness, leavened of with moments “mindfulness,” make me at home with those who see the body as much as an amusement park as a temple. Politically, I defy the Red/Blue political label, believing equally in personal responsibility and social justice.
My hope, my desire, almost the first thought that crosses my mind after I wake up in the morning, but before I reach for the snooze option on smart-phone…
..that I can expand my circle of outgoing healthy (physically, mentally), positive, kind, and respectful people – which would include a great gal who brushes and flosses nightly!
I'm quite happy (mostly), and I have no expectations with Match; it is like mixing a bowl of Lucky Charms and Raisin Bran together. Sometimes you'll get a raisin, most of the time a flake, but on rare occasion, a charm. (My first analogy was “Life is like a box of chocolates” from Forest Gump. Really glad I didn’t use it...). One thing is certain, there are quite a lot of, well, "interesting" people on this site...Seriously! If you agree with above, you might have just met your one.
P.S. Some bonus material. A list of some of my favorite movies and why I Iike them.
The Princess Bride (love, family, and a real live giant!)
Kingdom of Heaven (action movie with a message)
The Horse Whisperer (how we heal our selves by healing another - and one hottest romantic scenes where everyone has there cloths on)
Team American, World Police (very politically incorrect fun)
The Proposal (total chick flick but it works for me)
The Incredibles (I can't get enough of this movie!!!!)
UP! (It made me cry, then laugh, than think about my Grandad).
That's it. If you're feeling a connection let me know
Still reading? Excellent!
Lastly, I'm not exactly shy, but I’m really feel this whole “match.com” thing is a two way street. So if you’re interested at all, then write. Oh, and I’m not big into long pre-meet texting. A e-mail or two, a phone call or two (maybe three or four), and if we get that far…a chai tea latte in a well-lit public place with plenty of witnesses. (Ahh..that not a joke but still meant to be funny)
Really this is the end, I mean “end” for this ad. I’m working on my “upfront and straightforward” communication skills. So if you ask me a serious or deep question (my favorite types), be prepared for an upfront and straightforward answer.
