First let me say, I don't think it is possible to really get to know anyone through a profile. I guess what we are trying to do is get an idea what each other may be like then, possibly meet and actually get to know each other.
I don't have a lot of confidence in the whole internet dating thing. My friends seem to always want to set me up and of course, I meet guys on my own but really don't have a lot of places where I meet the type of guys I would like to spend a lot of time with. Bars seem boring to me and I'm not much of a drinker. I'll give this a try and see what happens.
I am very sweet with the right man. I have a genuine kind heart but need a respectful man to always be able to show it to him. You need to be intelligent. Typically, I am attracted to more intellectual men, you might even say nerdy. As long as that man is sincere and direct, his appearances wouldn't be that important. I do prefer someone 5'-10" or taller. Physically fit is important. Eating right and a reasonable work out schedule are more ideal.
I enjoy intelligent conversation, action movies, reading, swimming, math and writing....and being on my computer ;) I love animals and kids. I hope to have a child of my own some day and consider adoption one way to have that if it doesn't happen with my significant other.
The man I would like to be with has to have a good heart. Honesty and sincerety have to be in place first and foremost, so I can trust him completely. I value those traits, have them myself and would expect that the respect I show him would be reciprocated to me. I can be shy at first but in time will show my sense of humor and outgoing personality. I am a romantic and would like that trait in a man as well.
My ideal man is intelligent, sincere and direct. He would be kind but completely honest. Clarity and coherency are very important. English is not my first language so vagueness, some slang terms and generalities are not always perfectly clear to me. Just say what you mean. Humor and caring will fall into place. Again, I can't stress enough that I need sincere and direct. If you can be sincere and direct, everything else will come naturally. I'd rather be single than spend any time with a man who doesn't communicate with me clearly and say what is on his mind.
