Let me start by saying, whether you read this or not is irrelevant; chances are you've already made up your mind based on a handful of pictures and the boxes I checked, so what I write is merely extraneous information.
So, rather than disclose a bunch of half-truths and farces on what I'd like you to think about me, I'm going to divulge the things that some may view as negative:
• I've been part of the online dating community for over 11 years, but not consecutively. I have had several "long term" relationships from various sites, but obviously nothing has stuck.
• I am bi-polar. I was diagnosed in 1998 and have to take medication to keep me "level." It is well under control and is part of who I am.
• I'm an optimistic-realist. Some people confuse realism with being a cynicism, but there is a difference.
• I'm lonely, but not unhappy. Would I prefer to be with someone special, of course, but it is not a driving factor in my life.
• I'm somewhat of a perfectionist.
• I'm honest with my opinions, even if they are not welcome.
• I am almost always early. I would rather be an hour early than a minute late.
• I have viewed (in one way or another) and subsequently removed over 4,000 profiles from my search results.
I'm very particular about the type of person I want to be with. If you happen to possess any of these characteristics, then it will most likely not work out: Smoking; Heavy Drinking; Drugs; Odd Piercings; Tattoos; and/or Dietary Restrictions.
Also, here are a few elements that I look for while perusing your profile:
• Proper grammar and spelling.
• You are smiling and your eyes are visible in the majority of your pictures.
• There is an absence of "mirror," "kissy face," and "alcohol brandishing" pictures.
• You do not prefer an income of $100k .
