Down-to-earth, considerate, thoughtful, introspective--Midwestern girl-next-door mixed with independent, strong-willed spirit. Introverted and quiet by nature, I make strong connections with those I let in. Am most comfortable with just a few close friends, with my partner, or on my own. I like to get out and socialize on occasion--really enjoy going out to eat and finding amazing food in cozy surroundings.
I'd very much like to meet someone who is ultimately interested in a long-term relationship. He is smart and confident, mature and secure, generally fit and takes care of his health, and he desires a partner with whom he can be both emotionally and physically intimate. I want someone I can lean and rely on--and I want to give that same security to him.
I'm not as active as many of you men--have never been athletic so stick to low-key, low-maintenance exercise like walking and hiking. Thankfully, my dog enjoys these activities as well and keeps me motivated. I'll take a cardio-kick-boxing or aerobics class with a friend, but generally try to avoid the "gym scene." I like to go bicycle riding for the scenery and fresh air; I love being on, in, or near the water for the peace and calm it offers. Exploring the parks, beaches, woods, and small towns of this beautiful state is higher on my list than clubbing, shopping, or "being seen."
In my day-to-day life, friends would say I'm responsible, level-headed, straight-forward, pragmatic, reliable, and organized. In relationships, I'm sensitive, undemanding, physically affectionate, generous, nurturing, and supportive. I'm a firm believer in "say what you mean and mean what you say," do unto others, judge not, what comes around goes around, live and let live, and have faith. I try hard to be open-minded and accepting of all types of people, lifestyles, and viewpoints. Not that I have to be friends with everyone [or want to!], it's more about not harboring hate or anger over other people's choices.
In finding a match, I gravitate towards men who are strong in both body and mind. Physical strength is of course attractive, while being comfortable in your own skin, grounded in your principles, and clear in your outlook resonate with me as 'strength of mind.' Honesty, integrity, and a kind intent are also important. A smart, witty or sly sense of humor would be the cherry on top.
