I’m a fact forager, word worshipper and trivia tracker, all rolled into one. From reading The Week magazine (my favorite) for something new to browsing my Twitter streams and clicking on interesting articles (like about how the Slinky was originally a make-shift antenna), I’m curious about anything and everything. My appreciation for words has me attempt the New York Times crossword (but only from Monday to Wednesday) and challenge my friends to games of Words With Friends. And of course, I watch Jeopardy to see how many questions I can guess right. It’s a good day whenever I learn something new. I’m also into lectures at the 92Y, comedy clubs, and live music at the Beacon.
Part of gaining knowledge is exploring and I’ve been keeping myself busy rediscovering NYC, sometimes through my camera. When I first got back from the West Coast I overdosed on museums, my favorite being MoMA. Nothing beats a wine night or dinner with friends at the end of the workweek. But the best is starting the day with a morning yoga session — that way my nights are enjoyed guilt-free.
I’m looking for a witty and intelligent guy who can make me laugh and think. He’d be up for both trying new things together, and teaching me something I don’t know, and up for hearing the weird things I learned during the day. A curious mind is a plus!
