It's important to me that you read my profile. Please contact me only if you're looking for a serious relationship. Please don't just say "hi how are you" or "great pics" That does not spark my interest to write you back.
LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, SEX and INTELLIGENCE. Everything after that is subsequent. I’m REAL... I don't play games. I'm intelligent, sensual, passionate, loyal, ambitious, compassionate, independent, confident. I was brought up with amazing family values, traditions and and looking for someone similar. I'm not very religious but I was brought up Jewish... if you're very religious we probably won't get along.
I'm a huge music fan (almost 27,000 songs in my itunes library!!!) and love live concerts. I love rock classics: The Eagles/Don Henley, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Beatles, Stones, Rod Stewart; Reggae: Bob Marley, UB40, Sugar Ray, Sublime/Dirty Heads; Country: Keith Urban, Dixie Chicks, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Zac Brown; Newer: Adele, Bruno Mars, Colbie Caillat, Robin Thicke, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, Ray LaMontagne, Train... to name a few.
I’m a self-proclaimed Mac computer geek by way of graphic design/photography. I love my DVR, but read a book every night before I go to sleep. I eat sushi and salad, but I love steak and pizza too. I'm not a big drinker but I'll have a glass of wine at dinner.
I still consider myself new to LA though I've lived here for 4 1/2 years. I went to school in NYC and stayed for 20 years until I got sick of the weather and crazy pace of the city. I work out several times a week and I love walking around Santa Monica and Venice. Lots of great restaurants... some favorites where "everyone knows my name" :) and looking to explore new places as well.
I spent a lot of years working on my career and although I have my own business now, I make time for fun, family and friends. I'm much more comfortable in my jeans than a black-tie dress, though I can dress for all occasions. My chicken soup with Matzoh Balls is amazing :)
My photos are recent but really don't reflect who I am in person. I've been on a few dates recently and the first thing (he) says is, "Wow, you're so much better looking in person than your photos!" As a photographer I never have any good photos of myself :( A late bloomer, I feel like I just turned 30. 40 is the new 30!
YOU: I'm not looking for Mr. Perfect. No one is perfect... myself included. I'm looking for Mr. Compatible. That doesn't mean I'll call you my boyfriend by the 3rd date or need a proposal in 5 months but I do want to get married. I want children... with the right man. If the right man doesn't want kids then I'm ok with that too.
I'm looking for a man who is goal-oriented and ambitious but has time for family and friends. Intelligent, cultured and classy but not above shopping at GAP. Quick-witted and clever but not trying to be a stand-up comic. Communication, honesty and compromise. I'm not perfect and I don't expect you to be. Sexual chemistry alone does not work. Companionship alone does not work. Love and lover together is AMAZING. We love being together but have our own lives as well. You're affectionate, passionate, communicative and honest. You work out and are in good shape or a work in progress. I'm not fond of permanent facial hair. I have this stigma... Mustaches = 70s porn-stache. Goatees = gay men from the 90s. (btw I have both porn stars and gay men as friends lol). I don't mind a few day's stubble. If I can't see your face in your photo I will probably move on. If you don't have a photo, please offer one and let it be recent.
FIRST DATE: I never expect anything except for my date to show up on time. Hoping for easy conversation, where "What do you do for a living?" doesn't come up in the first 15 minutes. I've had coffee, a drink, gone hiking or walking on the boardwalk. I even had a salsa lesson once on a first date :)
