Something new. I just moved to San Diego. Its a goal ive had for a very lomg time and was lucky enough to make it happen sooner than i expected. So now Im definitely excited to meet new people here and learn about all the things SoCal has to offer.
I wrote this once and submitted it, now I am doing it again. It is hard to describe myself and harder to describe my perfect match. I am honest, almost to a fault. I simply don't believe lying gets me where I want to be. I know how to be tactful, and am always sensitive to others feelings. But being to the point is very important. I love to laugh and I love to be challenged intelectually. I love it when someone can banter with me and keep up with a strong wit. I know what I want and I am not afraid to go after it. When I find something I like, I will devote 100% to it, and would appreciate meeting someone who is the same. I love a good debate, but hate to argue to the point of fighting. If you cannot have an adult conversation when you are angry or have a different opinion I don't want to deal with it. I am an adventerous guy, I love thrill seeking. I know how and when to let loose. But I also treat women with respect and caring. If being a nice guy with a heart is a problem, I don't want to meet you. I have that edge, but I am not actually a jerk. I am looking for someone who can appreciate that.
Im renewing my membership, with a little trepidation. And so Im going to add a little more to this section. Ive met a good handful of really nice women on here. So far nobody yet that has been my perfect match, obviously.
So some more about me and what Im looking for. My two kids are nearly grown. My daughter just graduated high school a year early and will soon be in college. My son is only two years behind her. They also live kind of far away now, so I don't have daily interaction with them. So even though I love kids most of my work is done. So while I don't mind dating women with kids, I don't want to start completely over with more of my own.
Also I have a huge appreciation for someone who is active and even fit. Im not a gym rat and don't want to date one particularly. But Im an active guy and that can be a fun shared interest. Even if its just a trail run on occasion. I eat well and stay fit in part so that if I decide I want a piece of tiramisu or a margarita I don't even hesitate. Life is too short to deprive yourself of the things you love. And lets all be honest. We aren't meeting at a friends Halloween party. We are scrolling though pics on the internet and stopping at ones that we find attractive and then hoping there is more there. I truly care that the person Im with finds me attractive physically. And Im the kind of person to put in the work to make sure that stays.
And lastly, and perhaps most importantly. I work hard so I can play. But truth be told the older I get the more I care about quality of life. I don't need or deisre a 6000 square foot house in Lake Oswego. I don't drive a BMW and don't care a great deal about material things. What I do care about is enjoying life and surrounding myself with people that I love. I want to use my money to experience things I never have. Like traveling somewhere tropical with someone awesome more than buying a $400 bedspread.
Lets take on the world. Live some adventure and be able to look back at some point in our golden years and not have regrets.
