Been in LA/Santa Monica for two years. After 12 years in Seattle I am not moving anywhere cold or rainy anytime soon. Hope that's not a deal breaker. I worked from home my first year and half here, so it took me some time to dive into LA traffic and venture out of the Westside, but I've recently been working in downtown LA and am always happy with my latest discoveries. (Wide eyed expression, this city is vast whether it's Perch for amazing city views, local ethnic finds in Sawtelle, Abbot Kinny's food trucks, or Silverlake for brunch). Considering my food consumption, I stay fit and active: swim, bike, trail run, surf, ski, tennis, basketball, and ultimate Frisbee. This last one keeps me young and it's been a great social community as well--so I'm making friends too while avoiding home improvement projects for hopefully a little bit longer! When not chasing plastic, I am also picking up the acoustic guitar and love learning something new and embracing a passion that can entertain me for the entire day. And, no I will not be singing for you anytime soon. Let's call this my new found meditation. I am up for SoCal explorations including food/wine, museums, art openings, live music, cooking in, dive eateries, beach exploration. I mean come on, we've got Trubadour, The Bowl, El Rey, food of all kinds and plenty of weekend activities. There's work for both of us in this--take photos, pedal, navigate, get lost, improvise, tell jokes, scrape the ice off the windshield (that will be me, although doubtful it will happen around here), uncork the libations, carve initials, mail the postcards, entertain the sleepy driver (likely me), pay the bail, bribe the maitre de, and of course ... SMILE! (that would be you). Submitted from mobile
