I'm not sure I'm ready to fill out all the questions below, so let's just go with a brief summary, and anything else you need to know...well we'll just see, won't we?
I'm from New York but live in Los Angeles, and usually spend about 4 days in a month in Manhattan, seeing friends, family (we’re very close, I’m lucky), my dogs, the Yankees/Knicks, and my favorite bagel merchant. (Saul, at Essa Bagel on 52nd and Third. He’s a sweet man, and he’s got a gift).
I live with a few close friends, in a pretty great house, and we’re always hosting dinners and parties. I think we're nearing the end of our amazing Laurel Canyon run, so I'm going to be getting my own place shortly. Yes, ladies, you get a few precious months of hanging in a house in the Canyon, and then a man who will grow up (it's all relative) and get his own spot. Start running this way.
Love traveling. Last year – Italy, Mexico, Miami, and a baseball tour in the Midwest. Had booked an Australia trip for December, but had to cancel it due to work. Seriously bummed about this, and dying to reschedule. The idea of traveling alone seemed really interesting.
Just planned an amazing trip with a buddy to Marrakesh (for the end of Ramadan, apparently it's quite the time), and then a drive along the coast of Spain. Later, my Dad and I want to do a cattle drive. That's right....City Slickers ain't got shit on us. I'm a little worried about becoming emotionally attached to a cow and then giving up steak, but I'm going to power through, kill that damn cow, and grill up porterhouses for the group. I've now veered into a metaphorical tangent about relationships...let's back up the truck...
Jumped out of a plane this year for the first time, and want to go again, as well as learn to scuba dive, surf, and fly a helicopter.
Also love movies and great TV. Need a new show to start watching, and potentially a girl to start watching with. Right now I'm between Dexter, Deadwood, Battlestar Gallactica, and (gasp) The West Wing. Stoked for Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad to come back on the air. Watch tons of Bill Maher...yes, Entourage...and other things that make me feel highbrow whilst watching them.
I read everything…NYT, The Atlantic, Slate, tons of magazines and blogs, and way too many scripts. I also scan the New York Post sports section every morning. It’s a weakness, but I’m not giving it up. I play tennis every week, and joining a basketball league. A little sports crazy.
I'm a huge food lover, so always trying new restaurants, frequenting favorites, and cooking. For Christmas this year (Christmas Jews, yes!), my folks gave me a bunch of LA restaurant gift cards, (because really, I don't need another sweater, I live in LA guys, get used to it), so still trying to get through those.
I just bought a new French bistro cookbook, and trying to make my way through it. I cook for my roommates often. Either I'm a pretty amazing chef, or they are huge liars. No promises...they could be full of it.
So just looking for someone that shares some of my interests, opens me up to new things in the world, and someone that wants to have a lot of fun. Please be brilliant, hilarious, and gorgeous. I want to be entertained and inspired.
