Will writing about myself ever be a comfortable thing to do?
I am passionate and creative. I know what I want, and give everything I can to get it. I adore spending time with friends and family, and I think doing little things for the people around me is an incredible high. I'm looking for someone who can match my passion and drive.
I'm a New Yorker by birth, though I grew up in Florida. I've lived all up and down the East Coast, including our nation's capitol, which I had to leave after I realized how soul-deadening nonstop politics can be. In April, I decided to take a leap and move, sans job, to Denver from New York. It's been a journey that has, so far, alternated between terrifying, wild, and exhilarating. Now, I'm loving it, though the time difference makes keeping in touch with my family difficult.
I love talking to people and hearing their stories. I am a writer- I read more books than my bookshelf can handle-and I dream constantly of chucking it all and moving to Europe to spend my days sipping espresso and my nights dancing down cobblestone streets.
I am at the very beginning of a career as a freelance writer and editor, and am having a fantastic time making my way. I am constantly looking for ways to grow as a person, and I surround myself with great people, great books and great wine (red is growing on me). Now that I'm in Colorado, I need to learn to appreciate the fine art of indy beer.
In terms of what I'm looking for, I'd like to find someone who is as passionate about life as I am. Someone who loves down time and play time, with an adventurous spirit, a witty sense of humor, and a kind heart. Someone with ambition who takes care of himself and those around him.
