I'm Kelsey, I'm 24 years old and was born and raised in Sherman Oaks ("the valley") CA. I'm looking to meet some fun people and go on exciting and spontaneous dates. I've always been known as the "happy" girl and people swear they've never seen me in a bad mood. I have to agree-- I'm generally a very happy and smiley person. Just the way I am, I guess! I like guys with energy, humor, intelligence, passion and drive. Family is really important in my life and so is my education. I graduated from USC in 2010, majoring in English and minoring in Communications Design. My favorite part of college, aside from sorority life and social stuff, was my involvement in art classes. I'm an artistic person and currently getting my Master's degree from UCLA extension in interior design. I'm loving the classes-- especially the ones that allow me to paint, draft, and create my own art. Eventually, I'd love to own my own interior design business some day down the road. I've been writing and recording my own music since I was 12 years old. It's a little bit country, and a little bit rock and roll -- think Taylor Swift with a bit more edge and grit. It may sound strange, but sometimes I just go for long drives, windows down, music up and sing my heart out. My dashboard has seen some of my best work : ) Singing is a huge passion of mine and I come from a very musical family. My dad is a real estate agent by day, but his passion is in music and we spend a lot of time around the piano or with a guitar just jamming out and goofing off. I come from Midwestern roots-- my Mom and Dad were born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. They met and started dating at the age of 15 and are still together to this day. Pretty crazy! Their love story is my favorite and proves that sometimes fairytales do come true. Of course it's not always perfect, but that hard parts of life are so much better when you have someone you love by your side. My family has a lake house in Minnesota and I truly consider that my home. I spend time there every summer, boating, wake-boarding and just relaxing on the water. I can easily say it's my favorite place in the world-- surrounded by my big crazy family, sun, and all that Minnesota-nice.
I'm a huge animal lover and I rescue dogs constantly. Every time I see a stray running down the street, my heart stops momentarily and I before I know it, I'm pulled over chasing the little guy down. I've placed countless pups in loving homes through shelters and just networking through my friends. In fact, that's how I got my own dog, Brodie, who is the sweetest guy around! I'm a huge fan of the Food Network and have taken up cooking as my latest hobby. I love seeing a new recipe on TV and running out to get the ingredients and trying it out. Gotta say, I'm getting pretty good! I love going out with friends. My friends are very important in my life and I've had the same group of best girlfriends for years. We're pretty normal: shop, gossip, drink, dance, cry and laugh until our stomachs hurt together. I'd be nothing without my girls, and they'd be nothing without me.
I love exploring new places. I've recently adopted the "say yes" to everything mentality. Of course, saying "yes" to literally everything could land a girl in a whole lot of trouble, but you know what I mean : ) If there's a new restaurant opening, a new bar to check out, some place to travel, or even a fun random event, I'm up for it no matter what. I'm always up for spontaneous activities-- that's where the best stories and memories come from. I love learning and think trying new things is the best way to learn what you like and don't like in life. I'm enjoying being young and adventurous and really making a conscious effort to get out, let loose, and have fun as much as possible. I'd love to meet a guy to have fun with and introduce to my friends and family.
