Here goes nothing! I'm new to Raleigh and to online dating, but as with most things, I'm willing to give it a shot.
I grew up in North Carolina and went to college in Virginia. After brief stints in Boston and DC, I'm happy to be back in NC. I underestimated how much one could miss Cheerwine, BBQ, biscuits and homegrown tomatoes. If I never live outside NC again, that's fine with me.
I work in sales and love what I do. When I'm not working, I enjoy cooking (spaghetti, anyone?), traveling and participating in any activity that involves a boat. If I could, I'd spend all of my time with friends and family at the beach or nearest body of water. I love farmers markets, old country music, cheap sunglasses, Cheez-its, tomato sandwiches, outdoor concert venues, and Holden Beach, North Carolina. You don't have to like all of those things, but a minor interest helps (who doesn't like Cheez-it's?).
I'm looking for a guy who's smart, thoughtful, and ambitious. I'm driven and know what I want; I'd like a guy that's the same way. Funny and spontaneous are helpful. Non-smoking is a must. You also need to be fully capable of handling any insects that make their way into the house.
