I live by the philosophy that if you don't enjoy what you're doing, there is no reason to do it. My heart is in non-profits, so, between work and my very active community involvement, I keep myself entertained by doing things I love and helping whenever I can.
I am incredibly curious so I enjoy talking to people about their experiences. Call it naive, but I believe all people are inherently good and I trust immediately as I have no reason not to. I also like to learn how things work and figure out what makes people tick. I like people that are unique, a little quirky and aren't afraid to embarrass themselves. They're usually more fun to be around and much more interesting!
I have been known to make jokes when I'm nervous, occasionally curse like a sailor, always say what's on my mind and drive too fast for my own good. Fortunately, my jokes are funny, I know when to be a lady, I'm always honest and I have an excellent sense of direction.
I discovered photography a few years ago and alongside cooking, it's my greatest passion. Traveling, playing pool, black jack and poker, skiing, golfing, writing, entertaining in my home and every form of fishing are some of my other hobbies. The nerd in me loves crossword puzzles and, literally, anything trivia related. I'm always up for a concert or music festival - especially if it's out of town! I listen to everything except heavy metal- I don't generally enjoy being screamed at...
As for you, I'm all about personality and I love funny people that have the ability to talk to anyone, anywhere at any time. Confidence is incredibly appealing. However, there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance- don't cross it. I love a good story teller. The more animated, the better! I like when people laugh at their own jokes. I hate when people agree with me 100% of the time to impress me. I ask that you be goal-oriented and driven. Coming from a great family is a bonus. I have a large, hilarious, loving, no divorces, grew-up-in-the-same-neighborhood, cousins-are-more-like-siblings, kind of family. Good or bad, they make you who you are. Eventually, you must get along with my friends, as they were here before you and love me just the way I am.
