I have been described as a smartass, witty, kind, terribly loyal, funny, assertive, feisty, acerbic, affectionate (if I like you), thoughtful, and respectful. Ideally, I would like to find someone with a lot of the same qualities and some that I don't have. It's always good to be inspired and to spend time with someone who makes you the best version of yourself. I have three small children who are the greatest gifts ever! I spend the majority of my time being "Mom," but miss the conversation and attention of grown-ups. I want a best friend, someone who gets me, good, bad and ugly but thinks I'm great anyway. If you truly love someone, you have to love all of them instead of just the good parts, right? I don't believe in divorce although I have unfortunately found myself in that situation. Having said all that, integrity and values are high on my list of must-haves.
I am not outdoorsy at all, except for the occasional boy scout campout. If you are a poster boy for Bass Pro, then we may not have much to say to each other. That also means if you own any clothing that has camo (unless you were in Desert Storm), drive a truck, or hunt we have nothing to chat about. I am fanatical about college football and especially my Sooners!! I love going to the movies. All kinds except thrillers. I'm a big action buff (Transformers, G.I. Joe, etc.), comedies, and am a bit of a sci-fi geek. Also love series such as Harry Potter, Twilight (yes, I'm a seventeen-year-old girl at heart) and Ironman/Marvel Comics. I love music and really enjoy going to concerts or seeing a really great local band in a bar. I used to be a voracious reader, but with the kids I don't have the time for it that I used to. I still really enjoy a good read, though, and can really really caught up and swept away by a great story.
I am equally at home at a black-tie event, a nice dinner, or eating fried chicken in Okarche at Eishen's off of a piece of wax paper. I really love music, almost always have some on or are singing or dancing to something at home or in the car. My taste is pretty eclectic - all the way from Frank Sinatra or big band to Linkin Park and Lady Gaga. I listen to a tad of country, more as a novelty than anything. It is usually not my first choice.
Life is complicated and I love to find out what intrigues and motivates people. It's fascinating to me. I hope this is enough info for a glimpse of who I am and what I want. There's still lots to talk about and I love a good conversation!
