About me: I typically don’t like writing about myself, but find it is the necessary evil to find a kindred spirit. I have been described as "Like no girl in this area" by most of my close friends. While I find that hard to believe, I do know that I am eccentric in a good way. I try to maintain a yin and yang balance of: classy professional sophistication and a down to earth fun loving “Rosie Riveter” mentality. (meaning I am reasonably independent and will roll up my sleeves) I am a very energetic optimistic person who smiles a lot (true story, people often refer to me as 'smiles' or 'smiley') I am the kind of girl who enjoys dressing up like a model for dinner when I go out to a good classy restaurant although; I don’t find it a necessity. I enjoy going to art museums and critiquing the artists’ use of color, golden ratio, etc. I crave deep and intellectual conversations as much a good laugh and a dumb joke. I enjoy winding down after a long day with a good glass of wine by the fire, or a beer with pizza and movie. I am also the kind of girl who loves to wear blue jeans and play with shop tools; I don’t mind getting dirty every now and then. I love hiking off the beaten path, white water rafting, visiting historical places of interest, trying new things, places, foods, and relaxing with a good group of people. I believe in honesty and am loyal to the people that I love. I expect the same from the people I choose to be around. I do enjoy going out, being social, and networking at least once a week. I am a kick back, go with the flow kind of girl in social situations and I highly prefer splitting the bill when out on a date. I have no tolerance for cheaters, liars, drama queens, and people who play head games. I am looking for someone whom I can be on a similar page with and who will appreciate my artistic and sometimes eccentric mind. I am looking for an honest, loyal guy with some sophistication, culture, class, and a sense of adventure while still keeping his priorities in order. I am starting my freelance career (in Industrial Design focusing on Products) so I want someone I can trust to entertain themselves when I am working on projects and who values education and career as much as I do. I also want someone who likes to travel (not just saying they like to) and who enjoys going out of town, even if it’s just across the bay. (I love the city, and I try to find any reason to be there.) In short: I am looking for someone who can be my best friend and my lover. I am attracted to a very specific kind of guy. It is very rare that I am attracted to a person in that 'special' way. Heck I can count the guys I have been attracted to in my life on my fingers and toes with room to spare. Here is what I am looking for in a guy. Has a stable position in life. Is a little on the romantic side and appreciates art, culture, music and travel. Who has a quirky off sense of humor who enjoys cheesy stupid stuff just as much as an intellectual debate about philosophy, psychology, etc. Shares a lot of common interests and hobbies and always seeking to find new fun things I do tend to fall for the tech geeks and guys that love to educate themselves on subjects that they are passionate about especially if they have multiple passions. Bonus points to a guy who is a great cook (and enjoys being in the kitchen as much as I do).
