About me: I was born in Ohio, transiently had a British accent at age 3 during a stint in England, attended some unusual schools with an artistic bent during my early years (we made our own books), was a synchronized swimmer from age 10-14, went to college and picked up squash and ultimate Frisbee, then somewhat randomly moved out to San Francisco a week after graduating and have stuck around for the past 9 years. The last 8 years have included medical school and residency- which I will be finishing in 3 months!
What else...
I am a pretty spontaneous person; I love calling up a friend and going on a random adventure inside or outside of the city that unfolds as the day goes on. I am thoughtful, considerate, an honest and straightforward communicator, and I tend to be a fairly perceptive person. By nature I’m an introvert and used to be quite shy, but over the years I have become more outgoing and even talkative at times, particularly one-on-one.
I like dogs and kids. I am also a pretty big fan of food and coffee, and I have recently become addicted to this tea at Philz called Istanbul Treat. While I am by no means an amazing artist, I like doing creative things; I would love to have a little studio one day where I could play around with paint, clay, etc.
Most people would consider me pretty low maintenance as far as women go (I will not be spending hours in front of the mirror), but I like to have fun with clothes and shoes at times—I just don’t take it too seriously. If you are looking for perfect hair, perfect body, and stilettos, then I will disappoint you.
About the doctor thing, if you are wary of my schedule, things are looking quite promising as I wrap up residency and move on to my next step (starting July 1- no overnight call, no weekends).
Though it may take time to figure out if we are a good fit, a relationship is ultimately what I am looking for here; if you are only seeking something casual, please look elsewhere. I am open-minded in terms of who I am looking for; I would welcome a person with a very different background and set of interests than my own, and I am definitely up for exploring new things whether it be outdoor/athletic ventures, restaurants, music, you name it. Someone who is emotionally intelligent, honest, and open-minded would be a great start.
Disclaimers (in case any of these are deal breakers for you): I don’t follow professional sports (including the Giants, sorry!), but will respect if you do, and I am allergic to avocado.
