I am strong willed and independent, with a realistic outlook and a good sense of humor. I have lived a lot in my 31 years and as a result I know with great certainty what I want out of life personally and with someone else. I am happiest spending time with family and friends - I have had the same friends since Kindergarten and they are my favorite people. My family values are strong and I believe in them whole-heartedly. I am not someone that needs a huge to-do to have fun - I can easily enjoy myself if I am with good company, doing just about anything.
As an elementary school teacher, I would say I have the patience of a saint and being with 10 year olds all-day, every day has helped to give me a good perspective on life. Sometimes seeing things through a child's eyes is all it takes to bring you back down to reality. I love what I do and take pride in the thought that there might be something I say or do that resonates with a child and helps them to be better or do better.
I am looking for someone that brings out my better qualities and hopefully I would like to do the same for them. Kindness, compassion, and passion are important; someone who can laugh and be laid-back, but has a sharp wit and intellectual interests too.
It sounds so silly and simple but I really just want to find someone who will appreciate all of me - good, bad, and everything in between.
