I like kicking back and cracking jokes. I take things seriously when it's necessary but the rest of my time (a large majority of it) is spent finding humor and amusement in the things around me. I'm the kind of person who would rather watch the Super Bowl with my family than at a bar or party. I come from a family with no divorces on either side. My parents have been happily married for over 30 years and have worked for their companies for almost as long. Therefore, I tend to be the type to stick with things till the end, through thick and thin. I'm very family oriented and my friends are like family. My family and the relationships I share with others are the most important things to me. My career is a close second. I have close friendships that have held up from all areas and times in my life. I tend to gravitate towards genuine, honest, fun people. The opposite happens with people that seem to have hidden agendas. I work as a Design Engineer for a precision positioning systems manufacturer in OC. I'm one of the lucky ones that loves their job and doesn't have to "work" everyday.
My favorite kind of day involves being outside in good weather. I just got into mountain biking and I'm excited to see where that takes me. I'm a fantasy football dork (without it being too big a part of my life) and an Angels fan. I tend to appreciate the simple things in life and enjoy challenging myself. I finished the 2010 L.A. Marathon in 4 hours and 33 minutes. It was by far the most physically and mentally draining yet rewarding thing I've ever experienced. I'm very self-aware and in-tune with my desires and needs in life. That's probably why I'm writing this novel (funny how you're supposed to have trouble writing about yourself but I'm just off to the races here. If you're still reading, you're doing great).
I'm here looking for the same thing everyone else seems to be, a best friend and partner in crime, someone I can go out and have fun with or stay in, drink wine and watch a movie with. Basically I'd like to meet someone I can do those things and share a special bond with. In a relationship, I'm all about chemistry, communication, and understanding. I feel that once you have those three, respect, compromise, and every thing else you need and want fall into place. Also, I can dig a girl who isn't afraid to shop at Target.
P.S. In reference to the picture of me with the mustache, I only grew that out for Movember and hated everything about it. I will most likely never do that again. I just think the pic is funny and representative of my personality. Also, I feel I should point out my friend in the pic with me dyed his mustache, therefore making mine much more robust and masculine than his by default.
