I'd be very happy to meet someone that I hit it off with. I'm not sure that this is the place to find it but I'm open to it. I'm at a place in life where I would like to meet someone that wants to share something amazing.
I'm sincere when I write what I write here. I'm not just looking for a fling, so why bother with schtick.
I'm very much looking forward to starting a family with someone special. Not desperate for it and not looking to do this with just anyone. But I am looking forward to it. There's a lifetime to consider and little ones grow from it. I'm not perfect and I'm not looking for perfect. But when it's right, it does tend to feel that way.
Down below are some bits & pieces that i jotted down randomly. Probably a little wordy will edit later
LA native and Left handed (in case you were wondering;) Food - I love to eat but not a foodie (why does that word make me cringe like nails on a chalkboard? ), Travel - local or far, it's necessary for the Soul and better with someone special - Photography (Film has warmth & Soul to it but Digital is fun too and cheaper to play with), I feel the same about vinyl and I have a fair amount of it - Hikes (have only been doing the LA version lately Fryman/Runyon and the like), Live Music Yoga (did more of it last year & really felt right with doing it - just starting back Farmers Markets, cooking (usually with someone else is nice and I actually don't mind doing the dishes, so bonus for fo my cooking partner)
Locally -
Amoeba Records (vinyl) Hollywood Bowl, Forage in Silverlake, MOCA, BH Juice Club, right now I'm really liking Cafecito Organico for their tasty coffee (a nice alternative to Inteligentsia)
Mashti Malones for the ice cream (haven't been for a while though) Bay City for the Sandwiches, taco spot near my house, Larchmont (I live close by & have an office there)
A plane ride away -
Riding bikes in Amsterdam, LA Sunsets, the Mountains in Spain outside the little village that I lived in for a while (pretty much mountains anywhere are a good thing)
Banksy and other creative artists, Design, Architecture, Neutra, Frank Lloyd Wright, my Friends, Downtown LA and all of it's hidden gems (old and new) Dali. I appreciate design - in it's many different forms
The feeling of contentment and connection with the people and world around me (and recognizing it when it happens) - this is a wonderful thing. Sometimes it's the small things that are the big/important things. Means a lot when people get this.
The smiles on my friends kids faces and when they say say amazing things - when kids say something it is sincere and many times they really blow my mind with how spot on they are. Real and sincere people are refreshing in general.
I grew up with artist/musician parents. Always had loads of different types of animals around when we were kids. Up until this year, my Mom still had our parrot that's the same age as me. He was called Malcom X John Lennon (he had quite a personality;)
Love camping but haven't been in a couple of years. Even if it's just parking the car and pitching a tent. In the mountains or Halama Beach, tent, fire, food and chill. Mini holiday.
I've travelled quite a bit over the years Spent a lot of time in the UK & have lived in Southern Spain and Amsterdam. I still keep connected with all of these places & with my friends that are in there.
Happy to live in LA but also very happy that I've experienced European living and try to incorporate some of the qualities here in my life. It can be challenging at times as life here couldn't be more different. Work to live as opposed to the live to work mentality etc.
