A career is wonderful, but you can't curl up with it on a cold night. I have spent at least the last four or five years concentrating on building a career. Probably like most people in Washington. Now, I am trying to enjoy the finer things in life. For instance, I am working on learning to speak French (c'est une catastrophe). I am trying to plan a backpacking trip next year through Asia- Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. I have also almost perfected my pasta sauce- gravy and homemade ravioli. Nevertheless, the older I get the more I have learned that I have one hand to help myself and the other hand to help others. Whether it be volunteering at a soup kitchen on a Sunday afternoon or bake 200 cupcakes for a children's hospital charity event.
I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures all and is probably the most important thing in a person. I like someone who is a little bit crazy but coming from a good place. A little scar is attractive because it means a mistake was made that led to a little mess learned. I have found flaws can be attractive.
Enough about me already! What about you?
