Originally from Oklahoma, but moved from SF to NYC almost two years ago now! Wow, time flies. Basically, after graduating college and experiencing a wonderful study abroad program in France, I realized I did NOT want to live in OK forever, so I moved to SF, which was an easy transition because my older brother lived there at the time. I was there for five years and decided it was now or never if I ever wanted to live in NYC (I always loved visiting as my dad is from the Bronx, and my brother was living here at the time - ha. People always joke I keep following my brother around the country, but he's now been in LA for over a year and I'm still toughing out NYC...). Family is obviously very important to me. My parents still live in Oklahoma, but visit often. I'm still getting used to the pace of NY vs SF-seems we have a love/hate relationship. I'm so excited for fall not only because it's my favorite season, but also bc I'm ready for some college football and beer (which would actually be an awesome date). Boomer Sooner..
I'm an Event Planner for a large hotel in midtown and love it! Seeing the finished product and a happy client is so rewarding.
Some pastimes I enjoy are dining out with friends, cooking (I'm getting better with age), spin class (contemplating getting a real bike, but am slightly terrified after seeing a taxi hit a biker), brunching being a foodie (well eating in general), happy hour-ing, biergartens, keeping in touch w/ friends, traveling - if only I had more time off to make that happen regularly, drinking amazing coffee (how did I JUST realize there was a Joe the Art of Coffee in Grand Central - I work right there), getting worked up about the subways insane weekend schedule, going to concerts - last ones were Hot Chip and M83, walking everywhere, exploring BK and NYC, and apparently using lots of parentheses!
Anyyyway, just looking for that special someone to hang out with, cook (and dine out) with, be active with, laugh with, and love on bc I have plenty of it to give! :)
