I am an upstate New York transplant who has made DC her home. I am girly but tough, ambitious but able to find balance in my life, and always find a way to laugh in most situations. I graduated from law school a few years ago, and have been working in politics since then. I am lucky to have a solid group of friends in DC, and am always up for an adventure or for trying a new hobby. In the last year I went on a yoga retreat at an ashram and horseback riding at a dude ranch in the Smoky Mountains. Next on my bucket list is learning to sail, taking a trapeze class, and finding the guts to go through with a krav maga class.
Going to wineries on a Sunday is one of my favorite things to do. I love dogs and hate cats. I cry in action movies, and have a secret love of reality tv (I like to think of it as an anthropological experiment). I am a political nerd with a passion for health policy. I love a good challenge, and think I am pretty funny (at least my friends seem to think so). I try to be healthy (try), but I am definitely a carnivore. I love to dress up, but am just as happy hanging out in yoga pants.
I am looking for someone a sense of adventure, who appreciates snark, and is brave enough to try my cooking.
