Hey there, my name is Jen, and I have been sitting here for a little while now, trying to come with something both clever and intriguing, but I'm drawing a blank, so instead of dazzling you with my wits, I'll just get right to the point.
I'm 28 years old, and was raised in NJ. I have also lived in NY, PA, and Israel (for a brief time) My career ambitions and interest have always revolved around animals. I've spent the majority of my career training dogs and being a zookeeper. I truly feel the happiest when I am around animals, even when the task at hand isn't such a glamorous one.
Work aside, I like watching movies, old TV shows, hiking, rafting, swimming, cooking, baking, exercising, learning foreign languages (currently learning Hebrew) travelling, playing piano, amusement parks, the beach, catch up with friends, road trips, stand up comedy, and photography. I like the best of both worlds when it comes to hanging out, as I can be both a homebody and an adventurer. I am perfectly content spending a weekend in pajamas watching movies, or going sky diving. I really enjoy a spontaneous adventure, like a last minute road trip. I am very much a people person and enjoy good company and conversation, but at the same time, I have no qualms traveling or doing other things on my own.
I liked the suggestion that Match made about writing how my closest friends would describe me. So, in the opnions of my closest friends, I'm said to be funny, sensible, witty, open-minded, playful, young-hearted, honest, genuine, mischievious, imaginative, a good listener, mature, independent, passionate, thoughtful, and caring. I do love them =) If I had to add anything I would also describe myself as a deep thinker, amibitious, loyal, unjudgemental, down to earth, logical, and a peacemaker.
Now on to the interesting stuff, what I am looking for...I'm looking for something a bit more casual in the beginning with the potential i becoming long term. .Someone who shares similar interests, as well as having their own things to bring to the table. It's important that two people complement each other by just being themselves, not to have try so hard to impress the other person, but just to do so naturally. Kindness and patience is unwaveringly important to me, and I would find someone to be incompatible with me if I saw them being short tempered or rude to someone. I want to meet someone who can enjoy life even when doing something mundane like food shopping. I appreciate thoughtfulness and consideration. I'm not the type of girl who likes to be doted on 247, but it really means something to me if a guy opens my door, pulls out a chair, or offers to carry something for me once in a while... I may tell them it's ok and they don't need to, but the offer will never go unnoticed.
