I would sum myself up as Diverse. I grew up on a dirt road in a small town in New Hampshire (which makes me part of the Red Sox Nation) doing outdoor activities like camping, fishing and hiking. Since then, I have moved to the NYC Metropolitan area where I have lived and worked for 15 years. I am comfortable in both environments and am happy going camping for a weekend or heading out to a bar for happy hour in the city. I enjoy playing sports including snowboarding, hockey, soccer, golf, softball, kickball (yes, kickball...).
I like hard work and simple pleasures and I don't like being lazy. I like to build things and solve problems. It's great to spend all day doing yard work and then relaxing with a nice dinner and some fine wine. I try to focus on a healthy lifestyle which includes eating organic and healthy food. To accomplish this I supply my meat from a local farm and I maintain a garden. I do a lot of cooking and I also practice yoga regularly. I am into beer brewing and will be making my first batch of wine this fall.
I am a professional civil engineer and currently own my own business. I love what I do and I am happy to be at a point where I am my own boss. I am also an adjunct professor at a local university. I enjoy teaching and discussing all aspects of life including history, politics, economics, theology. I read a lot a lot of books on history and theory. I believe everyone should be able to offer an opinion about everything, but should be able to defend it.
I think that relationships should be based on two people enjoying time with each other. Chemistry is also very important. I don't believe in forcing something that is not there. If you're not interested, then don't do it. I am pretty independent and I am looking for someone who is equally so. If you're interested, give me a shout.
