Hi. I am fairly new to San Diego. I moved here for a job opportunity and fell in love with the place. And after living in Colorado, the bar was set very high. I have a great job that I really enjoy. It takes up a lot of time (I should be working now, in fact. But I am writing this instead) but I feel I have a great work life balance.
Outside of work, I like to swim, bike, and run. In that order. I haven't done many triathlons but found it’s very fun (as well as an endless money pit). I don't think of myself as athletic and would usually prefer day drinking by a pool/beach/sports bar/ski lodge, etc. But many Saturdays you will instead find me running some weird number of miles and following it up with an ice bath.
I am otherwise happy doing almost anything. I like to camp but haven't in a while and never in California. Wine tasting, cooking, museums, sporting events, the beach... I am usually up for anything. I am a believer in the "Its who your with not what you do" philosophy.
A sense of humor is probably required for any real chance of liking me at all.
I think of myself as romantic but think Valentine's Day is lame, preferring rather to celebrate a special time that only we'd know why. New Year's Day is ok, but a random weekend where we pack our bags and take off somewhere has more appeal. Halloween? Well, that's too fun to pass up!!
"Who I'm looking for" is not necessarily someone who is equally into what I am. Just an understanding that I have a passion. I hope you have one, too. And you can meet me at my finish line and I will meet you at yours.
