I am hopelessly optimistic with more dreams than can possibly come true in this lifetime. Half of the fun in life is discovering which dreams will come true and being surprised by the unexpected that you didn't even know you wanted. I am equally awed by a Van Gogh masterpiece as I am by a breath-taking sunset or the perfect goal to clinch Lord Stanley's Cup. I treasure my friends and cherish my family. I love to laugh out loud till my stomach hurts and have long conversations about the most important things in life or about nothing at all. I can be moved to tears by a sentimental commercial, a child's innocent smile or frustration. Don't get me wrong I have my moods and bad days too, but thankfully the good days far out number the bad. I ache to travel and explore both favored haunts and new locations around the world but I am ready to share those travels with someone special. I am looking for my knight in shining armor, someone who will love me for me, faults and all. Someone who will challenge me to be a better person, to try new things, someone with traditional values, honor, and confidence. Above all someone who can make me laugh, gives great bear hugs and is comfortable in jeans and a tee or a tux for a night out. Added bonuses would be someone who is passionate about hockey with the patience to teach me how to play and then not get upset if I win. Someone who would enjoy strolling along the beach in Ireland at sunset and then going to a local pub and singing your heart out like a local. I believe in soul mates and I'm romantic to a fault while at the same time realistic enough to know that relationships are hard work that require two people willing to begin each day with a new slate.
